Weather changes and surface mine operations
Use a consistent record of conditions, decisions and lost time.

Describe operational impact
Rain, wind, heat and poor visibility affect different tasks differently. Record the condition, affected area, restriction and the time of the decision; a generic weather note does not explain a production gap.
Restart deliberately
After a pause, review changed haul roads, slopes, drainage and access before work resumes. Capture the responsible decision and the downtime duration for a coherent daily report.
In practice
A 50-minute storm pause may become 90 minutes of lost production if the haul road also requires grading.
