For field crews at remote sites
Keep work moving
A previously authorized operator can prepare field records without an active connection. The interface should show queued and failed submissions instead of implying a record reached the server when it has not.
Preserve the real event
The client-created time, timezone and device context travel with a queued submission. Server receipt and authenticated identity are recorded separately, so a morning inspection does not appear to have happened at its afternoon sync time.
Revalidate and avoid duplicates
Reconnection should refresh authorization and replay dependent records safely. Idempotent submission identifiers protect against duplicate reports when a weak connection forces retries.
In the field
A pre-shift completed at 6:05 a.m. offline and synced at 8:15 a.m. should show both moments correctly.
